Obituary

Ronald Taylor, 77 of Rockpork, Texas, and formerly of De Leon, passed away June 21, 2017, at his home in Rockport.

He was born March 2, 1940, in Bonifay, Florida to Eugene Taylor and Allie Mae Harris Taylor. Ronald married Beverly Ann Pope April 24, 2001, in Deland, Florida.

Ronald retired from the United States Air Force as Sergeant after proudly serving his country for twenty years. Outside of his military service, Ronald lived in Comanche County most all of his life. He loved spending time working outdoors, listening to music and dancing. He was also an avid and talented golfer. Anyone who knew Ronald knew he loved to joke around and was an extremely funny character. He was very proud of his family and loved them all very much. Ronald loved Jesus and his faith in the Lord remained strong throughout his illness and until his final day on earth. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Taylor; son, Randy Taylor and wife, Kristi; step-son, Bradley Polasek wife, Eliza; daughter, Roanna West and husband, Terri; step-daughter, Brandy Polasek; grandchildren, Tyler Taylor, Trent Taylor, Candace Houston, Chelsea West, Tanner Weaver, Noah Weltsch and Sophia Weltsch; great-grandchildren, Shaylor Hodges, Cashlyn Caldrer, Tynlie Taylor; brother, Robert Taylor; sisters, Lyndell Campbell and Janice Landes; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Allie Taylor; and brother, Kenneth Taylor.

Funeral services, with Air Force Military Honors, were held Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Marcia Koelln officiating. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
