Obituary

Ronnie Holland, 71, of Desdemona, passed from this life Saturday, August 27, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 8, 1950, in Gorman, Texas to John J. Holland and Dora Etta Tucker Holland. Ronnie married his loving wife of fifty years September 22, 1972.

Ronnie lived in the Desdemona community all his life and graduated from Desdemona High School Class of 1968. He then attended Ranger Junior College. He was a farmer all his life and loved caring for his land. Ronnie loved spending time outdoors and working with his hands. Ronnie's greatest joy in life was his family. His grandchildren brought so much joy to his life. He enjoyed attending all the sporting events for his children and grandchildren and was their biggest fan. He was a devoted husband, loving dad and granddad, caring brother, and loyal friend to many. He will be missed beyond measure.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane; sons, Bradley Holland and wife, Sandra, Brandon Holland and wife, Jana, and Mackenzie Holland and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Gracie Salinas, Selena Perez, Skylar Holland, Gram Holland, Prew Holland, and twin boys on the way; brothers, Sammy Holland and wife, Susan, and Danny Holland; sister-in-law, Galyna Holland; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family; and many special friends. Ronnie has been reunited with his parents, and brother, Clifford Holland.

Graveside funeral services were held Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Brad Bettis leading the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or to Tunnel to Tower Foundation at 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306, in memory of Ronnie.
