Rosa Leal Gonzales, 79, of De Leon, Texas peacefully passed from this life Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Ft. Worth. She was born September 1, 1944, in Three Rivers, Texas to Alfredo Leal and Janie Molina Leal. Rosa married Lupe Gonzales.

Rosa was a devoted homemaker for her family. She was a natural caregiver and loved taking care of her family. She would welcome anyone into her home and would give whatever she could to help someone in need. Rosa was employed with De Leon Nursing and Rehab for over thirty years as a nursing aide. She was a welcoming and friendly face at the nursing home and was loved by all employees, residents, and visitors. Being a caretaker was her greatest joy in life. She was Catholic and a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She loved the Lord, and that love was evident in how well she loved others. Rosa enjoyed playing Bingo, and spending time with her family and many friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Gonzales (Brandy) and Luis Gonzales (Cindy); daughter, Petra Gonzales Ruiz (Sergio); sixteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Rosa has been reunited with her husband, Lupe Gonzales; daughter, Janie Moreno; parents, Alfredo and Janie Leal; brothers, Fred Leal, Pete Leal, and Lupe Leal; and sisters, Dora Garcia and Coca Leal.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in De Leon Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Rosa.
