Ruby Clara Weaver Burdell, 96, of De Leon, went home to her Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 28, 2015.

She was born January 8, 1919, in Sidney, Texas, to Robert Henry McCullough and Edna Clara Redwine McCullough.

Ruby lived in De Leon since 1951. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, and gardening. She liked to watch sporting events on television, especially wrestling. She loved attending her grandchildren's ball games and spending time outdoors. Mostly, Ruby loved her family and spending time with them. She lived a long and happy life and will be missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard Kevin Weaver and Connor Noel Weaver II and wife, Sarah; grandchildren, Kristal Stovall, Brian Weaver, Erika Bostic, Heather Coonrod, Ashley Weaver, Heath Weaver, Tori Mudge and Jake Mudge; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Ruby was preceded in death by her husbands, Connor N. Weaver and Luther Burdell; son, Bobby Neil Weaver; and her parents, Robert and Edna McCullough.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with Brother Jackie Auvenshine officiating. Graveside services followed in De Leon Cemetery.
