Russell Lee Jones, 53, of Stephenville, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014, in Ft. Worth. He was born July 1, 1960, in De Leon, to Blanton and Dicey Wilson Jones.

Russell grew up in Fort Worth and attended Christ Memorial Christian Church. He graduated from Southwest High School and Tarleton State University. He lived most of his life in the De Leon and Stephenville areas.

Russell loved working with iron and really enjoyed genealogy. He was devoted to serving the community through volunteering with the food pantry. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Becky Dugan and Jenny Jones; grandchildren, Paislee Massey and Ranger Dugan; father, Blanton Jones; sister, Cindy Newton; and other extended family. Russell has gone home to join his mother, Dicey Jones.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 12, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at De Leon First Baptist Church. Graveside services followed in Comyn Cemetery. Brother Daniel Harper and Brother Kenneth Wilson officiated the services.
