Ruth Bernice Davis Humphries, 97, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away June 24, 2023, in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born June 17, 1926, in Spokane, Missouri, to William Henderson Davis and Rose Arletta Martin Davis. Ruth married DC Humphries February 28, 1945, in Arizona.

Ruth spent her youth in Missouri and New Mexico. She and DC settled in Los Angeles after their marriage and raised their family there. She retired from National Can Company in Los Angeles after twenty-nine years as an inspector. She loved playing poker, dominoes, and keno. She enjoyed being outdoors, growing flowers, and spending time with her family. She was Presbyterian and loved the Lord. She was a devoted wife to DC, a selfless mother to her five children, and a loving grandmother. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Bushman and husband, Dennis, Dixie Carson, Kathy Brundridge, Cindy Hearn and husband, Darrell; daughter-in-law, Terry Humphries; numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other extended family members. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, DC Humphries; son, John Humphries; and her parents, William and Rose Davis; sister, LaVaune Davis; and brother, Marvin Davis.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home with grandson, John Humphries, officiating. Interment followed in Sipe Springs Cemetery.
