R.W. Howard, 76, of De Leon, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019. He was born November 20, 1942, in De Leon, Texas to Robert William Howard and Faye Kinnard Howard.

R.W. lived in the De Leon community most all of his life. He was extremely talented in restoring antiques of all kinds including automobiles, planes, guns and tractors. His loving daughters called him a master and jack of all trades. He enjoyed being outside and always had a bountiful garden. R.W. loved riding his bicycle, shopping flea markets, and spending afternoons with his buddies at Red's Auto Shop. He was a skilled carpenter, welder, painter, mechanic and a great story teller. He had both a pilot license and real estate license and enjoyed living his life to the fullest. He was a loving father and grandfather, and a dedicated friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving R.W. are his three daughters, Christina Howard, Cassie Howard, and Carrie Morris and husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Beau, Brooke and Bryant Morris; sister, Linda Doran; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. R.W. was preceded in death by his parents; and aunts and uncles, Elzie Sides, Hazel Bassett, Beatrice Loggins, S.F. Kinnard, and Cyrus D. "Snooks" Kinnard.

Funeral services celebrating R.W.'s life were held Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Hodges,  Carroll "Slick" Carlin, Norman "Red" Floyd, Jim Parker, Gene Skaggs and Jimmy Sides.
