Santos Josephine Moreno, 75, of De Leon, passed peacefully from this life February 21, 2022. She was born April 5, 1946, in Fredericksburg, Texas to Guadalupe Montez Moreno.

Santos moved to Texas from Colorado with her family in 1983. She was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. She enjoyed many hobbies including yard work, quilting, sewing, and crafting. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Lucio Moreno and wife, Pinkie, Paul Moreno and wife, Lisa, and Joe Moreno; daughters, Paula Moreno and Reyna Salazar; brothers, Junior Moreno and wife, June, Pete Moreno and wife, Bertha; and Sonny Moreno and wife, Patty; sisters, Mary Moreno and husband, Johnny, Janie Moreno, Lupe Salas, and Amy Moreno; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Santos was preceded in death by her mother, Guadalupe Montez Moreno; father, Dan Vigil; and niece, Lisa Medina.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 25, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Minister Clay Wheat officiating. Interment followed in De Leon Cemetery.
