Sara Lou Coker Bunting, age 77 of De Leon, died Tuesday April 22, 2025, after an extended hospital stay in Ft. Worth, Texas.

She was born November 9, 1947, in Gorman, Texas to Vera Dee Coker and Robert Garland Coker of Comanche, Texas.  She married Larry Lanoy Bunting April 17, 1965, in Comanche, Texas.  She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Shane Bunting and wife Christi of Venus; daughters, Tracey Hudspeth and husband Travis of Abilene and Valerie Mann and husband Kirk of Kaufman; grandsons, Trenton Early of Glen Rose, Tyler Bunting of Frisco, and Chance Moser of Abilene; granddaughter, Taryn Hudspeth of Abilene, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lanoy Bunting; sister, Bertha Catherine Godfrey; mother, Vera Dee Coker; and father, Robert Garland Coker.

Graveside funeral services were held Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Comanche. Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society North Texas Chapter (2105 Luna Road, Suite 390, Carrollton, Texas 75006), and/or Crohn's & Colitis Foundation North & Central Texas / Oklahoma Chapter (12801 N. Central Expy Suite 530 Dallas, Texas 75243), in memory of Sara.
