Sharon Faye Barker (Grisham), 78, passed peacefully from this life in the early morning hours of May 12, 2026, at home with her family present. Sharon was born in Gorman, Texas on September 4, 1947, to John and Gene Grisham.

Sharon lived a life of serving her community and the people of it, working for the De Leon Clinic for 23 years followed by 24 years of service at the De Leon Housing Authority. She loved making sure others were taken care of and their needs met, without seeking recognition or taking credit.

Sharon, a beloved mother, daughter, sister and grandmother (MeMaw) loved her family very much and was very much loved by them. She took immense joy in her grandchildren and loved making them laugh. She will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

Sharon is survived by two sons, Rick Woodard, De Leon, Texas and Jimmy Woodard, of Allen, Texas. Grandchildren, Lauren Newell (Woodard), Spencer of Celina, Texas. Hannah Woodard of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jacob Woodard, Erin of Houston, Texas. Great grandchildren, Alayna, Elliott and Knox Newell. Two sisters, Joyce O’Donald of Dublin, Texas, Kathy Morgan of De Leon, Texas and one brother, Kerry Grisham of De Leon, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon is reunited with her parents, John and Gene Grisham.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Brother Paul Winegeart officiating.
