Sharon B.
Clark
Jul 10, 1939 — Sep 9, 2026
Comyn, Texas
Sharon B. Clark, 87, of DeLeon, Texas, passed from this life on September 9, 2026, at Legacy Estate, with her loving family at her side. She was born July 10, 1939, in Comanche, Texas, to Leonard and Ione McCullough Bragg. Sharon married the love of her life, Jerry L. Clark, on July 25, 1958. Jerry preceded her in death in 2012.
Sharon was raised on a farm in Comanche and graduated with the Comanche High School Class of 1957. She was an outstanding basketball player in high school and continued to follow the sport she loved throughout her life. She could be the loudest fan both in the High School gym and at home watching games on TV. Sharon made basketball a lifelong hobby.
After she and Jerry were married, they lived in Abilene before moving to De Leon in 1963, when they purchased DeLeon Farm Supply to be later incorporated as Clark Tractor & Supply. Sharon was a devoted and loving homemaker to Jerry and their three children, Randall, Janet, and Jason. While her family always came first, Sharon also worked full time at Clark Tractor. She managed the bookkeeping, clerical, and many other office duties until her much-deserved retirement.
Anyone that knew Sharon knew that Thursdays were her “hair days”. Schedules were made sometimes days in advance to allow Sharon to enjoy one of her most favorite activities, going to the beauty shop. She could also be easily talked into going and getting ice cream and coke floats on a regular basis. And she was never far from a candy dish. On the farm, she spent her time loving on her many dogs. Most of which were her Dobermans, Jobie, Brisco and J.J. all welcomed both Jerry & Sharon into “their” homes and onto “their” farms! Walter was lucky enough to wander up to Sharon’s house one day and was immediately welcomed into the family, complete with his own bed and dog sweater. She also cherished bird watching, wildflowers, and managing her cattle.
Sharon dearly loved the holidays and always went all out decorating and cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Some may remember her antique tractor wrapped in Christmas lights in front of Clark Tractor. She also loved to browse and shop for both her and others. Most of all, Sharon loved people, and she made sure they knew it.
She was a loving and selfless wife to Jerry; a devoted mother to Randall, Janet, and Jason; a doting “Nanaw” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a loving sister and aunt; and a loyal friend to many. Her kindness, generosity, and love for others will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. “Momma Clark” will be missed beyond measure.
Jerry and Sharon were longtime, devoted members of the Church of Christ in De Leon. Their church family meant a great deal to them throughout their lives—first as a young family and even more so during their later years. Jerry served as an Elder, while Sharon faithfully taught the children in Sunday School classes and during VBS. Sharon also helped in any way necessary for those in times of need.
Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, faith, and family that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and the many friends whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Dossey; son, Jason and Joyce Clark; daughter-in-law, Pam Clark; brother, Gary Bragg; grandchildren, Kori Sides and husband, Ryan, Kyle Clark and wife, Amanda, Brenna Riddle and husband, A.J., and Seth Dossey; great-grandchildren, Harrison Sides, Hatton Sides, Knox Clark and Amelia Clark; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Sharon has been reunited with her husband, Jerry; son, Randall Clark; and parents, Leonard and Ione Bragg.
Funeral services celebrating Sharon's life were held Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Church of Christ, De Leon, with Minister Kris Groda officiating.
