Obituary

Sherlean Sue (Jackson) Frost, 83, of De Leon, passed from this life November 22, 2022. She was born in Coleman, Texas on October 21, 1939, to Jay and Florida Turner Jackson. Sherlean married her loving husband of sixty-four years, Tommy Frost, on August 15, 1956, in Waurika, Oklahoma.

Sherlean lived most of her childhood in Coleman, Texas moving with her family to De Leon when she was in the 3 rd grade. She graduated from De Leon High School Class of 1957. Tommy and Sherlean were longtime members of De Leon First Baptist Church. Sherlean was employed as the admitting nurse for Dr. Eisenrich for ten years. She then went to work in the retail industry, working for many years for WH Smith Department Store and Dunlap's Department Store. She also worked for several years for the Sewing Room Factory. Sherlean finished her employment career at Kimmell Wellness Center working for Brad Bettis. Sherlean loved to travel to Ruidoso to the horse races and enjoyed spending time with her large family and many loving friends. She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her flowers and plants. She especially loved growing roses and crepe myrtles. She was a talented volleyball player and played well into her 50's. She had a contagious laugh, was always kind and genuine, and loved people deeply. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a special grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed beyond measure by all who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Gaytha Frost of Coleman; son, Ronnie Frost (Kandice) of De Leon; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Floyd Jackson (Roxie) of Athens, Texas; sisters-in-law, Bess Curb (Dale) of Gorman, and Wanda Layman of De Leon; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Sherlean has been reunited with her husband, Tommy; parents, Jay and Florida Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Memphis Magin and Kreek Magin; sisters-in-law, Frances Leach (Clarence), and Ora Mae Campbell (Jim); and brothers-in-law, J.B. Frost and Archie Frost.

Funeral services celebrating Sherlean's life were held Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at De Leon First Baptist Church with Brother Paul Winegeart officiating and special family tributes by Glacia Stalcup and L.D. Whitehead. Serving as pallbearers were Matt Magin, L.D. Whitehead, Dustin Frost, Grant Bear, David Stalcup, Cameron Ellis, Tanner James and Rolando Sidon. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Jackson, Ottis Leach, Max Keith, Dale Curb, Brody Bland and Kash Magin.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to De Leon First Baptist Church, Alzheimer's Association, or to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, in memory of Sherlean.
