Shirley Frances Barron, 85, went home to meet her Lord and Savior December 23, 2020. She was born January 25, 1935, in Godley, Texas to Frank W. Gibbs and Frances Elizabeth Tucker Gibbs. Shirley married Sam Barron October 23, 1971, in Ft. Worth, Texas. Sam preceded Shirley in 2008.

Shirley was employed with Southwestern Bell for twenty years and also worked as an assistant administrator in home health and nursing home services. She and Sam moved to De Leon from Big Spring, Texas in 1997. Shirley enjoyed many hobbies including shopping, QVC, and spending time with loved ones. She was a faithful servant to God and attended Fair Haven Baptist Church for many years. Shirley loved people and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Barron; parents, Frank and Frances Gibbs; parents-in-law, Zeff and Verda Solley; five brothers; four sisters. She is survived by a great niece, Sandra Allen and a great nephew, John Sherman Gibbs and wife Bonnie and numerous friends.

Shirley was laid to rest beside her husband, Sam, in De Leon Cemetery.
