Stephen Lynn Dickey

October 24, 1956 – July 3, 2020

Stephen Dickey was born in De Leon, Texas in 1956 and spent 63 loving years until he passed on July 3, 2020 at 4 past midnight.

He is survived by his sister, Laurie Duncan and husband James; brother, Ralph Dickey; and three children, Eric Dickey, Travis Dickey and Leanna Winner and husband Wayne. He has three grandchildren, Elijah, Asher, and Isaac Winner. He also has one niece and five nephews, as well as nine great nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his father ,Bobby Joe Dickey and Wanda Dickey; as well as his mother, Leona Dickey.

Stephen graduated in 1974, joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1983. Afterward, he primarily drove for Dickies, Kohlers, and Max Mahon to support himself and his family. He lived for the road and was loved by all. His fight was hard fought with this pandemic, and we lost him too early in life. He is much loved by the people who knew him. He was a trusted friend, comedian, and dependable man. His faith will guide him to a peaceful place. May he rest in peace forever with the support of those of us who remember him.

Memorial services celebrating Stephen's life were held Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home in De Leon with Brother Ray Seckinger officiating.
