It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry M. Mathis, who left this world on November 28, 2025. Born on January 13, 1956, to Ray Seth and Mary Oma Mathis, Terry lived a life of hard work, and dedication to his family. Terry graduated from De Leon High School in 1974, marking the beginning of a life devoted to farming and ranching.

On April 13, 1979, Terry married Jamie Tucker, a union that lasted over 46 good years. From the day he was born, his son, Colton Mathis, brought endless joy their family. Colton, along with his wife, Victoria, filled Terry's life with love, especially with the arrival of his grandson, William Brooks Mathis. As a proud and loving "Boompa," Terry found his greatest happiness in sharing moments with Brooks, imparting wisdom, laughter, and warmth that only a grandparent can offer.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Mathis, and his grandparents W.S. and Iva Wayne Mathis, and Gerald and Maurice Hanson. He is survived by his loving wife, Jamie, their son Colton, his daughter-in-law Victoria, and his cherished grandson Brooks.

In honor of Terry's life donations can be made to the De Leon Volunteer Fire Department. He left a lasting impact on all who knew him and he will be deeply missed.
