Terry Ray Young, 65, of De Leon, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born October 4, 1950, in Gorman, Texas.

Terry graduated from De Leon High School in 1969 and lived in De Leon and Abilene most all of his life. He worked as a LVN nurse for many years. Terry was a member of First United Methodist Church of De Leon. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and always tried to enjoy life to the fullest. He loved working in his yard and caring for his flowers. He also liked to decorate.

Terry is survived by his uncle and aunt, Loyd and Vivian Hardin; aunt, Nin Allen; numerous cousins, extended family; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Billye Snider Young; and dear friend, Delpha Robinett.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., in De Leon Cemetery with Brother Jackie Auvenshine officiating.
