Thomas "Tommy" Culpepper entered the Gates of Heaven on Friday, February 10, 2023. Tommy was born on November 6 ^th , 1958, to Luther Culpepper and Winona "Nonie" Greenwood Culpepper.

Tommy worked at Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station for 34 years holding various positions such as valve technician, manager, and head of the union.  While working there he saw Terri and announced to all that he would have her, for Tommy it was love at first sight but for Terri it was a much slower process. But the cowboy in him never gave up and he won the prize. Tommy had many passions in his life, but his very favorite was the love of his life and soulmate, his wife Terri Lynn Hill Culpepper. They were married on April 4, 1996. Theirs was a match made by heaven itself and withstood the test of time for twenty-seven years.  When he retired from Comanche Peak, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a full-time rancher relocating his ranch operation to De Leon in 2019, from Stephenville.

Tommy's other passions were his Zebu cattle. He was known as one of the largest breeders and sellers of registered Zebu Cattle in the US. He loved all animals, especially dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. Tommy was an avid coon hunter in his prime; he and Tex Lotto took the coon hunting profession by storm, and they were the best of the best. We know that the reunion in heaven between those two was glorious.

To have known Tommy was to know love, friendship, and a helping hand. He was a friend to many, and always first to lend a hand to anyone in need. He lived by the cowboy code and was known to give the shirt off his back if he believed it would help someone. He was known to "wheel and deal", but you would not get the best of him, and you would get an honest deal every time. Tommy touched so many lives during his to short time on earth, and the outpouring of love has been appreciated.

Tommy leaves behind his wife, Terri Culpepper, and their babies: Samantha, Fancy, Punkin, Blaze, Ranger, Tandy, Audi, Jessie, and a host of guard dogs. His special friend Spur Stewart whom he loved like a son, many family members that he loved dearly. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Nonie Culpepper; a brother, Scooter Culpepper.

A celebration of life was held Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home Chapel. Honorary pallbearers were Shem Culpepper, Lane Lowrance, Spur Stewart, Bobby Moore, Brian Turnipseed, and Chuck Hale.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Dickey for all the efforts and support during Tommy's illness, he is a tremendous doctor.
