Tommy Peikert, 78, of De Leon, peacefully passed from this life surrounded by his loving family and met his Lord June 8, 2022. He was born January 20, 1944, in Rockdale, Texas to L.V. Peikert and LaCelle Wright Peikert. Tommy married his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Glenda Johnson, on May 14, 1994.

Tommy moved from the metroplex to the De Leon community in 1985. He was a longtime member of Comyn Baptist Church. He was employed by De Leon Peanut for many years as the Dry Yard Supervisor. In his spare time, Tommy loved to fish. It mattered not the weather conditions; you could find Tommy always fishing if he had the time. He especially enjoyed Lake Proctor. Tommy was a skilled gardener and always had a bounty of fresh garden veggies. Tommy could set his clock by his mealtime. He was faithful to eat each meal on time every single day. His greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, involved dad, loving granddad, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda; daughter, Bobbie Darlene Perry (Kirk); son, Foster Lee Williams (Patricia); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Tommy has been reunited with his parents; son, Albert Williams; two brothers, Walter and Jimmy; and two sisters, Rosie Westerman and Liz Sparger.

Graveside services were held Monday, June 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Pastor Elmer Salazar.
