Tony Gauna, 63, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024. He was born November 27, 1960, in De Leon, Texas to Raymond Gauna and Pauline Frausto Gauna.

Tony lived his entire life in the De Leon community. He was self employed in agriculture and raised cattle and harvested pecans. He never had idle hands and loved to work on his land. He spent most of his time tending to his cattle and horses. He loved to mow and tinker with his farm equipment. Tony enjoyed spending as much time as possible outdoors. He also played the drums and loved music. He chihuahuas were a very special part of his life and he gave them the best life possible. Tony was a loving father, son, brother, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy DeLeon and husband, Jesus; mother, Pauline Frausto Gauna; brothers, Cecil Gauna, Luis Gauna, and Robert Gauna; sister, Janie Banda and husband, Jessie; grandchildren, Destinee and Oliver Govea, Angelica DeLeon, Gabriella DeLeon, and Liliana DeLeon; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Tony has been reunited with his father, Raymond Gauna.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in De Leon Cemetery.
