Tracy L. Hamilton, 66, of De Leon, passed from this life July 14, 2023. She was born December 2, 1956, in Altus, Oklahoma to Elvis Jones and Sammy Self Jones. Tracy married Rickey Hamilton August 1, 1992, and they shared a loving companionship of over thirty-seven years.

Tracy grew up in the Dublin community but has lived in the De Leon area most all her adult life. She was a long-time nursing aide and loved to help people. She was also employed as a café waitress for many years. Tracy was a lover of all animals but was especially partial to her babies (dogs). They brought so much joy to her life. Tracy and Rick shared a special bond with one another and had many loving friendships with others. She was kindhearted, caring, loyal, and loving towards everyone she knew. She would happily smile at a stranger, hoping to spread some cheer. She will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her devoted husband and caretaker, Rick Hamilton; brothers, Michael Jones and Sidney Stewart; brother-in-law, Andre Benitez and wife, Miranda; sister-in-law, Sherri McDonald and husband, B.J.; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family; and many loving friends. Tracy has been reunited with her parents, Elvis and Sammy Jones; two brothers, Mitchell and Randall; one sister, Elsbeth; mother-in-law, Judy Holland Beck (she and Tracy had such a special loving relationship); and sister-in-law, Anita Gomez.

A celebration of Tracy's life was held Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sheridan Priddy Conner officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to De Leon Animal Shelter c/o City of De Leon, in memory of Tracy.
