Wade Kelly, 82, of Stephenville, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014. He was born May 8, 1932, in Okra, Texas, to Billie Adrian Kelly and Johnnie Mae Culwell Kelly.
Wade was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Ingleside, Texas. After 30 years of dedication, he retired from the oil industry as an exploration engineer. His career allowed him to travel to many countries and to learn about several different cultures. He enjoyed traveling and always had many memories to share with friends about his time spent abroad. After retirement, Wade returned to Texas where he lived in Ingleside, Dublin and Stephenville.
He is survived by two sisters, Viola Kelly and Elizabeth Fazio; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, W.B. Kelly; and sister, Linda Nickens.
Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in Sipe Springs Cemetery. Brother Jackie Auvenshine officiated the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, in memory of Wade.
