Obituary

Winnie Marie Fields, 78, went home to meet her Lord and Savior December 4, 2020. She was born February 23, 1942, in Gorman, Texas to T.J. and Charlene Boen. Winnie married Terry Fields May 2, 1959, in Rock Bluff, Texas.

Winnie lived in Comanche County most all her life. She was a long-time faithful member of De Leon Church of Christ (Hwy 6). She loved her church and her church family. Winnie was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. She was an attentive wife, selfless mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, and loyal friend to many. She always enjoyed shopping and eating out. Her family was her most cherished joy and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Winnie is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Terry Fields; sons, Don Fields (Stephanie); Jeff Fields (Renee'); daughter, Donna Fields Cook (John); grandchildren, Brandon Fields, Maisie Fields, Coy Millsap; Kenneth Fields (Samantha), Chelsie Roys (Donny), Courtney Johnson (Clayton), Terry "T.J." Jaskson Fields, III, (Jennifer); and KeAiria "Kera" Mills (Zachary); William Cook and Joshua Cook (Becca); great-grandchildren, Taylor Fields, Emilie Fields, Tyler Fields, Carson Millsap, Lucas Fields, Stevie Roys, Haddan Fields, Cayden Alfano, Carsan Fields, Conley "Jack" Fields, Emerie Fields, Evelyn Fields, Ethan Mayes, Kyleigh Mills, Emma Mayes, and Anna Cook; brother, Harold Boen (Karen); numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She has been reunited with her son, Terry "Jack" Fields, Jr. (2013); two grandchildren, Justin and Jessica; and her parents, T.J. and Charlene Tucker Boen.

Graveside funeral service celebrating Winnie's were held Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Minister Rick Smitherman officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ (Hwy 6) at PO Box 365, De Leon.

*Due to the current Comanche County COVID-19 regulations on group gatherings, we kindly ask that any friends planning to attend Winnie's graveside service respectfully stand at least 20 feet from the tent. The tent seating will be reserved for immediate family only. We are saddened that we cannot currently allow friends to pay their respects to the Fields family with a traditional visitation and ceremony. The family appreciates your understanding of the graveside safety regulations and is thankful for your continued prayers and kind thoughts during this difficult time. Masks are required in large gatherings.
