Wynona Faye Lee, 70, a lifelong resident of De Leon, peacefully passed from this life Friday, April 7, 2023. She was born September 13, 1952, in Gorman, Texas to Wade Freeman and Ona Dean Coan Freeman.

Wynona was employed as a nurse for many years and loved the opportunity that working in the medical field offered her to help others. She was a natural caregiver and truly loved her patients. She was a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church. Wynona enjoyed many hobbies including crafting, gardening, and reading. She also loved to ride her motorcycle and spend time outdoors. She was talented at all she did and even enjoyed building things and working with power tools. Wynona loved laughter and her happy spirit was contagious. She loved her family deeply and was always her happiest while spending time with them. She was a light to many and will be missed always.

She is survived by her daughter, Deana Grimes and husband, Donald; grandchildren, Taylor Lee and Matthew Barton, Cheyenne Hernandez, Dalton Grimes, and Hayden Grimes; great grandchild, Harper Hernandez; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Wynona was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Lee; and brothers, Wade Freeman, Roy Dale Freeman, and Alan Freeman.

Visitation was held Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Chapel.
