Barbara Ann Chambers Bass, 83, of Westbrook, Texas, peacefully passed from this life January 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 8, 1942, in Arlington, Texas to Clyde M. Chambers and Ruby Ragland Chambers.
Barbara was raised in Westbrook, Texas and attended Westbrook High School. She retired from Westbrook ISD where she was employed in food service. She was a long-time member of Westbrook Baptist Church and happily cooked for the youth there many years. Barbara loved to travel. She went on many trips to Brazil for missionary work and enjoyed travelling with the Baptist Church Builders. Barbara was a faithful servant to God and allowed Him to use her life in service of others. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, special grandmother, and caring friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Calloway (Bobby), Angie Hightower (Farris) and Judy Lambard (Bruce); siblings, Vickie Koch (Rick), Robert Chambers (Christine), and Judy Hale; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Bass; son, Gary Gene Parrish, Jr., parents, Clyde and Ruby Chambers; granddaughter, Stacey Kneupper; and brother-in-law, Donnie Hale.
Graveside funeral services celebrating Barbara's life were held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Westbrook Cemetery, Westbrook, Texas, with Minister Robert Chambers officiating.
